The 21st century has brought about new internal challenges such as the increasing elderly population and networking through the Internet, and external ones like, urbanization, globalization, natural disasters and recovery efforts, and energy problems.
We are an integral part of the environment, but it is important for designers to transform our external impact into an internal cognitive consciousness. This transformation is essential to become an expert in environmental design.
Our department aims to identify problems and explore their solutions by our comprehensive and creative approach to design that is based on a wide-range of fields including, art, human and social sciences, and engineering. The ability to imagine, formulate, and present ideas is essential, however, an individual’s eclectic ability is a fundamental requirement.
Our graduates have devoted themselves and refined their approach to design, so they have excelled in their field for the betterment of society. I would like our future students to conceive ideas that similarly address the new challenges in order to create a better future.
